Hi Jon,

Thanks to spend times for testing! I have corrected two bugs found by Dave and I will produce a new beta with some other nice features this week-end.

Gilles

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Thanks for the fixes Gilles! I installed, updated my categories and products and everything seems to be working as designed. A few minor bugs (no show stoppers yet): 1. The Store Catalog ‘Go!’ link is next to a button in the search bar that is not labeled. 2. In the Catalog Settings > Default Category drop down list the categories are listed by number and not name. 3. Only the More Info link uses the Details Page and Return To settings to manage how the links function. I read some previous posts on this and the Template Documentation and I am not sure if this is a bug or by design. It appears that I am trying to do something outside the scope of what is supported, but I thought it worth asking. I am trying to use a separate Catalog to sell services for separate companies, but the ‘.: Sub-categories: x | y :.’ links at the top of the page always take me back to the main store site instead of staying on the page I created for each company. The More Info link to product details and back works great but the ‘.: Sub-categories: x | y :.’ links at the top of the Catalog and the paging links at the bottom always return to the main store. I am able to use the ListContainer with ProductListFullInfo or ProductDetail and create a page that defaults to a specific Category (set up to match each company), but I need to use the Show New Products settings to get the Search at the top not to show (it will also go back to the main store page), and place all my products on one page with no sub products so the paging links at the bottom and sub categories at the top don't show. If this is by design then I would respectfully submit that a feature request allowing the creation of a Catalog that used the current page for all links (like the More Info link does) would be a popular enhancement. Allowing the links to be dynamically set would allow multiple catalog pages with sub categories and paging to exist on a single portal. I could then create as many “store” pages (Catalogs) as I wanted and limit the products displayed to a single category and its sub categories. I also like the new checkout workflow, but to be honest – I don’t like the look of the text at the top of the page and I would start the workflow with the cart and not the address. Perhaps a header and border around the workflow text or highlighting the text of the current step would make it more friendly? As always, thank you for your generous contributions and tireless support! Please know that any criticism from me comes with much humility, gratitude and is intended only to help!

I had no issues editing a product except the date picker for the Special Offer Start and End dates not working (error on page in bottom of browser but no DNN errors). The product pictures did not reset when pointed to a file like they did in a previous version so that seemed fixed.

Hi Dave,

Huuuu a lot of comments! ;-) I will try to respond one by one:
  1. This button is a workaround for FireFox to allow the visitor to validate his search using the enter key instead to click on the link. Normaly this button is hidden whit the default css files.
    1. May be you have changed the css and forgot the class
      div.StoreSearch input.StoreSearchHiddenButton {
       display:none;
       visibility:hidden;
      }
    2. or you have changed the container tag (div) or his class in the template.
  2. It's strange the list is sorted by category name on my computer!?
  3. Currently the links refer to the main catalog defined in the Store Admin settings. This will be corrected in a future beta version. Normaly, the Store module is designed to use only one catalog by portal. This allow to display the popular or new products to the home page of your website and to link to the main catalog page. What you try to do could work with this changes.
  4. The steps at the top of the checkout are managed by css because the Store module is XHTML compliant. If it look ugly, it's probably because you don't use the default templates and css files. Please uncheck the setting 'Portal Templates' in the Store Admin module to test. I have added several classes in the new css files, you need to adapt your own files with the new classes. The portal templates are NEVER updated, this is explained in the Templaing Guide.
  5. The cart is skipped when the setting 'Checkout Mode' is defined as 'Registration required' in the Store Admin settings AND if you are already logged when you go to the Store Account page. May be I could add a setting to the Store Account module to change this?

Thanks to spend your time for testing and for your suggestions.

Gilles

The new beta use the standard DNN calendar and it should works with all browser (tested on my computer with IE 8.0 and FF 3.6.9). May be the script error at bottom is related to your skin or to a jQuery/JavaScript you use!? Could you test with the default MinimalExtropy skin?
