Hi All,
I have created a dotnetnuke child portal using a template file. I have not included "All Users" role in my template file. When i imports it , it creates dnn child portal successfully. But it creates some default roles like  'All Users,Subscribers,Un-authenticated Users etc. automatically . Some tabs having some module instance and when i go to see module level settings. All the roles are associated also with those modules , but in place of administrator, module having "All Users" locked with view and edit module permissions. So, it is not correct. By default Administrators role should be locked in module level permissions.
So, i want to set "Administrators" role as locked permissions and All Users' role to be editable.
How can i accomplish this? If anyone having idea about it. Please suggest me or advice me.

Thanks
Vyom Dixit

Basicly all pages inherits the permissions from page settings.  You can inherit the permissions from site settings or copy it, and modify it on Module settings.

Hi Matthias Schlomann,
Thanks for your reply. I tried to edit site settings , but "All Users" role is locked in newly created portal.  i also checked the page settings of the old portal from which this new template has been exported . There is "Administrators" role is locked , and it is fine. But when i imported the template to make another child portal in the application, all pages and modules having "All Users" role locked. It is weird.  Is template file having issue or it can be come from database side. Please suggest me if you have any idea about it? Which data (in template) or (in database) is responsible for locking the roles in page level and module level permission. How can we unlock the roles, so that we can make changes in the roles assignment.

Thanks

I founded this issue on a older DNN Version and it should be fixed on 5.4.4.  To resolve this issue you have to look about the admin settings on the portal table in the database.

Hi Matthias Schlomann,
Again thanks for your reply. I found the difference in data in dbo.Portals table for the newly created portal and old existing portal.
There is "AdministratorId", "AdministratorRoleId" and "RegisteredRoleId" column values which having different values as "-1" in place of valid values.
And when i manually edited the values respectively, the newly created Portal's Page Level and Module level permission is now set properly. So, this is fine. But i want to ask about which is the correct way to resolve this bug? If you have any reference about it then please refer me.

I very much appreciated your response .

Thanks Again.
