Newbie - learning fast

The documentation files show the changes to web.configure for older versions of MS-SQL. The new file has this line:

<!-- Connection String for SQL Server 2005 Express - kept for backwards compatability - legacy modules   -->
    <add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Data Source=.\SQLExpress;Integrated Security=True;User Instance=True;AttachDBFilename=|DataDirectory|Database.mdf;"/>

My host is using SQL 2K5. How do I change update this.

Needless to say, my host has made all of the permissions but I am getting:

DotNetNuke Update Error

The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSIONS] )

I made all of the other changes that were detailed in the docs, but this is has obviously been changed.

This is typically because of bad user credentionals.

Thank you, Mr. Flanakin. I am aware of this. The problem stems from the fact that the line of code for entering the db username and password does not vibe with directions in the documentation. I could not figure out exactly how to revise the line of code in web.config to correct this. Fortunately, the technican at my host did, and made the installation for me. Someone needs to update the installation documentation to reflect this new line of code in the release.config/web.config file so others don't have the same problem.

Perhaps it's just me being a complete novice in this area, and to others it is a walk in the park. But, DNN could be a very valuable app if made easier to install - but perhaps that part of the mystique of open source.

Thanks again

jeb

If anyone notices a problem in the docs, there's a comment at the end of each doc that tells how to suggest a change. I suggest you, and anyone else who runs into a problem in the docs, use this facility to suggest changes.
