Hello,

I am wanting to rename the Store module so that I can modify various elements within two portals that use the same installation.

For example, when changing the product title's font colour on one site, the second site replicates the same modification. This is not required and is the reason I want to rename the Store module and then install it again so that the second installation can be modified separately from the first one.

Please can you advise how I do this?

Many thanks,

Trevor

Hi Trevor,

You don't have to rename the Store module, but just read the Templating Guide available at Codeplex! ;-)
As a resume, if you have several portals using the Store module, you should NEVER change the module templates set located under ...\DesktopModules\Store\Templates. You have to check the setting 'Portal Templates' in the Store Admin module, then apply your changes to the portal templates set located under ...\Portals\n\Store\Templates (where n is the portal number).

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.
