are you running sql server 2008 Express on your machine? Is it configured for TCP/IP (server and client)?

Yes, Sql Express 2008 (R2). Iin the Sql Server Configurtion Manager I can see TCP/IP client protocols are enabled. Doesn't seem to be enabled under the server though. Will enable it and see

you need to enable TCP/IP for both.

Enabled the server and still no joy. At first that is. I got another error after that and found  this post http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...

The exact step was:

Did that and boom, it worked!

I also have the same problem when using StarterKit for DNN 5.6.0 in Windows 7 x64bit. I use the Visual Studio 2008 and the file system for the web site since the DNN in IIS 7 in the local machine is very very slow.
How do I change the "Load User Profile" in Visual Studio 2008 ? Or something similar ?

I have SQL Express 2008 as the database. Also I need to use the starterkit since I am developing modules in VB 2008.
