Hi,
I manage my own company’s server to host client’s sites. All sites are DNN.
Lately I started to poke around the IIS settings, applications pools and other settings.
I want to configure the server for optimal performance for DNN.
Is there any document that discuss this issue?
Specifically, I would like to set the applications pools memory, cpu usage limits and recycle times.
Currently I host about 20 sites, most of them are not traffic intensive but I see slow performance on some of them.
The w3wp process for each is going from 75k to 256k when I look at task manager.

I know that DNN memory footprint should be around 128KB.

The server is Windows 2008 Enterprise
Service pack 2
8GB RAM
IIS7
SQL server 2008

I would really appreciate any info or pointers.

Thanks,
Yehuda

I have published a performance best practices guide that you can get from http://www.iowacomputergurus.com under the "White Papers" section.

Overall you will see 75-200Mb of memory usage per worker process.

but be aware, not ALL of your clients may have read it and their web sites act accordingly ;)
