Hello, I just downloaded the newest DotNetNuke version for a new installation. I downloaded the source so that I could create custom modules and compile the solution and then publish to the website. As a test, I simply compiled and published the bare solution I downloaded, no changes made, yet. When I run the uncompiled version on my local machine (Windows 7 Ultimate IIS7) everything works fine, but when I publish to a Server 2003 server with IIS6 it seems that the text that gets pulled from the resource files doesn't get displayed. I thought it was something to do with parent paths so I enabled parent paths in IIS, but it remains the same. I think it is the resource file text because the text that isn't displaying is most of the text in the edit section at the top of the page, the Login/Logout text, and the text that displays in the module menu to go to the edit screen.

What would cause this text to not show up? Does publishing to the server change any path information? I am at a loss as to what to try to fix this.

Thank you for your help.

Well, I found a work around by publishing with the "Allow this precompiled site to be updatable" unchecked. I like it better with it checked, so if anyone has any ideas how to run it with it checked I would be grateful. At least this gets me back to work.

Thank you.
