Sorry it cannot be scripted. What you could do is located the source of the issue in the source code, fix it, and run your custom version of the module until we can make a release with the fix.

Ok, think I will just log the ticket and wait for the next version :-(

I will just have to remove the badge from the blogentry.ascx file

You can simply disable it too, from Module Options. You don't really need to touch ViewEntry.ascx HTH
