Hello,

Does anyone know if its possible to have both 3.1.1 and 4.0.3 on the same server ? I want to test all my sites on 4.0.3 before deleting the old 3.1.1 installation.

you can have both versions without problems in different web sites on the same server (using separate Databases), make sure that you set the correct ASP.Net version in IIS settings for each web site (DNN 3.1 and ASP 1.1 and DNN 4 and ASP 2.0)
