I haven't messed around with DNN since it was just a forum application but I volunteered to help some co-works convert our Community Server instance to DNN.
I've installed the Forum extension but I'm unable to find where I actually enable it.

When I view the module settings I noticed the following entry in the license section: The license for this package is not currently included within the installation file, please check with the vendor for full license details.

I'm not entirely sure if that license message is normal or not. I'm going to continue to do some digging but figured I'd ask around as well.

Config Info:
Dev Server: Win 2008 R2 x64
DB Server: SQL 2008 R2 x64
DNN ver: 05.04.04
Forum Ver: 4.5.3
DNN PE Registerd as Dev machine.

Hi Nick,

I haven't  used the forum module myself but can tell you that the "The license for this package is not currently included within the installation file, please check with the vendor for full license details." message is the default message when packaging modules so is unlikely to be your problem?

The usual approach with DNN is to add modules to a page then configure via the Settings menu - have you done this?

Regards,
Rhys

Thanks for the reply, I ended figuring it out. It was simple user error. I was expecting the Forum system to be managed via the admin / host menu and didnt think I needed to create a new page / add a module to it.
