I have a module (B) that I am using as an edit control (alternate view ctl) for another module (A) and I also want to use this same module (B) as a standalone module on a different page that may contain other modules.

I have already defined the module in module definitions as an edit control for another module (A). However, when I try to create a new module definition for it as a standalone module (B) I get the following error:

Cannot insert duplicate key row in object 'dbo.CO_Packages' with unique index 'IX_CO_Packages'

I could swear that the portal used to support this in the past.

Is this a bug or an intentional limitation to reusing modules (having multiple definitions) within the portal?
