Hi All

First post here! Totally new to DNN.

Anyway, I've just installed DNN with WPI and was successful, apparently. But now what?

I assumed I would go to localhost/dotnetnuke/default.aspx or something but Firefox tells me I would be stuck in some kind of eternal loop redirect.

Is this a common problem? Anyone heard of this?

Any help much appreciated.

did you try a different browser? there might be a configuration issue with your IIS web site configuration, did you make sure to added default.aspx as default document and have .net 3.5 SP1 or .net 4.0 installed and selected for the IIS app pool being used (.Net 2.0 will be listed here instead of 3.5, that's ok).

Hi

I tried IE8 and that just gave me a connection problem - the same as if I couldn't connect to the Internet.

I have subsequently installed Microsoft Web Matrix and tried to run the Default.aspx page. Web Matrix says that the DNN service has started successfully but when I try to run it I get sent to:

http://localhost:33407/Install/InstallWizard.aspx

I read a thread a while ago with someone with the same problem - DNN takes me to the Install page.

Any ideas?

Well, I've tried to Install DNN without success and the forums seem to be a very slow way to find answers.

Can you recommend anything else?

sorry for performance of dotnetnuke.com, engineers from dotnetnuke corp etc. are working on it.

There seems to be an issue in your IIS web site configuration - using web matrix is useful only, if you need a solution for LOCAL access only. If you are not experienced with IIS configuration, you might consider hiring a web professional (for sure the fastest option to get support).
