When compiling the patch do I have to compile it against a specific version of DNN? Does anyone have any tips on getting a copy of the patched files?

It's not really a good idea to provide patched versions of the source code as that breaks the validation model that DNN provides with their release tracker.

I apologize that I haven't pushed the newer versions through release tracker as I should be doing, but I have to plead that work and personal issues are keeping me from having the kind of free time to be able to spend much time on it. Perhaps during the holiday lull between Thanksgiving and Christmas, that's usually a slow work time for me.

Get the source version, apply the patch (you can do it manually, it's just a text file), compile and deploy. It should work with any 5.2+ version, probably any 5.0+ version.

Hi, I have patched the files and would like to know how to compile.

Are these the steps that I should do?
1. copy the folder to the desktopmodules folder of dotnetnuke?
Q. Do I need to install the module first? If so then there is no resources folder after the module is installed.
2. open the .sln in the resources folder
3. rebuild the solution

I would appreciate some guidance on how to get the build done.

ok, a followup - I have VS2010 and dotnetnuke 6

There appear to be many issues and a "simple" rebuild does not appear to be possible.
I would appreciate talking to someone that has patched this module and has it working under dnn 6.

Any help appreciated.
