Try getting rid of the SQL Server 2005 config section. I don't think this will fix the problem, but it should clean up your config file a bit. Outside of that, the only thing I can tell you to do is to compile in debug mode and step thru the system to find the line that is erroring out.

Hello

I am using  DNN 3.1.1 with framework 1.1 now i want to upgrade framework to framework 2.0 only and not my whole site so will this possible or not. and if possible then tell me how please help me in this...

i can't upgrade my site because i have made changes in DNN's core code.

I had tried this ones but it gives me error in "Locales.Portal.xml.resources" and "Locales.xml.resources" these two files....

 

please help me in this..

Yes you can add the 2 framework without it affecting your 1.1 sites - I have done so and what happens is a change in IIS so when you create a dnn4 site - you need select the 2 framework as it will be, by default set on 1.  It will all become obvious when you install it and check out the change in IIS.

I want to upgrade my framework 1.1 to framework 2.0 i have tried with chages of IIS settings but still it gives me error.....
 
have you ever tried dotnetnuke V 3..1 with framework 2.0 if yes then i am interested to know how you do that and also tell me setting of IIS that you have made....
