I would like a module where I can upload a document and tag it with categories. Then, I want a page with the category listing so when I click on the category, it brings up the list of documents tagged with that category. Does this functionality exist for the documents module? If not, does a module exist like this? Thanks for any help.

Hi!

We use Bring2Mind's Document Exchange. (http://www.bring2mind.net/DocumentExchange/Overview/tabid/176/Default.aspx). You can find it on Snowcovered.com

It can tag documents with categories and there are some extensions available displaying documents from a category.

List of extensions here: http://bring2mind.net/DocumentExchange/Extensions.aspx

Looks like we don't have any other choice for Document Management besides DMX, which explains why it's priced so high.

I too am looking for a "document" module, but one that acts a bit more like a list of cited documents or a bibliography. The "works cited" module should include a complete bibliographic reference or citation, and optionally house a copy of the uploaded document, a link to the document, a link to where the document (book) might be purchased, or none of the above.

It should also be able to have an anchor on each work, so that a reference made to it from some other page in the portal can link to it. Anyone know of something like this? several searches of Snowcovered come up empty...

Thanks, Patrick

Jim, I'm sure there are other, non-documents modules, that would do what you are wanting. I know it can be done with Efficion's Articles module in combination with our free Categories module.
