Hi,

I installed DotNetNuke in the inetpub/wwwroot directory, then created a virtual directory in IIS with the same name. Assigned IUSR (anonymous) read access, Assigned Network Service (Server 2003) Read/Write/Modify permission.
I also created a SQL Server 2005 database named DotNetNuke, modifiied the connection string in the web.config.

But when I go to localhost/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx - I get Access is denied due to Invalid Credentials error message.
What am I missing?
Thanks,

n.huda

Make sure your folder permissions are also the same for all subfolders and files in it.  Make sure you have installed .NET 3.5 Framework.  Make sure you have set both (2) connection strings!

Hi Matthias,

Yes, I got both connection strings setup, I have all the sub folders and files assigned same permissions as well.
I have installed .NET framework 3.5 - but that doesn't show up under IIS ASP.NET Versions. So I have that set to version 2.0....
Could that be the problem? And if yes - do you know why?
Thanks,

n.huda

make sure, your virtual installation directory is configured as an application.

 Hi
ASP.net 3.5 is an extension to asp.net 2, so enabling asp.net 2 will also enable 3/3.5
