Some how the css below is getting over written by some sort of inline style?  

/* Main menu hover */
.mainMenu .hov{
    color:#fff;
    background:url(../images/menu_hover.png) repeat-x top left;
}
 
/* Main menu selected */
.mainMenu .sel, .mainMenu .bc {
color:#FFF;
    background:url(../images/menu_active.png) repeat-x top left;
}

Firebug has this element.style tag..  when when these are disabled, the CSS above works correctly
element.style {
background-image:url("/images/menu_down.gif");
background-position:right center;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
}


Does anyone have ideas on  how to disable the inline styles?
