Hi all,

I'm having a problem with the Repository module Create new / Edit form.
I've already google-it and read the Rep DNN Foruns extensively and i'm running out of ideas.

The problem is:

Every time I do any of the following actions (that requires postback), the already selected files (File and Image) are reseted to the first element of the dropdown list in the 'Upload New Item' scenario, and to the last saved item in the 'Edit Existing Item' scenario:
- Select 'File' instead of  'URL'
- Select a category for item
- Click in the 'Upload New File' link
- Click in the 'Upload Selected File' link

The selected data, unlike the Title and Description aren't apparently stored in the Viewstate.


The changes that I previously made to the template were:
- using the [URLCONTROLFILE] and [URLCONTROLIMAGE]
- use the TREE control to select the item categories.

I'm using the 3.1.17 version of the Repository and the 5.1.4 (3) version of DNN.

This is happening at least in IE 7 and Firefox 3.6.

Anyone can help me figuring out if: 
- Anyone had the same problem?
- Is this an expected behavior?
- Is any workaround for this?

Hi, Have the same problem with an unmodified rep. module. Discovered it when I forgot to input a description for the upload. I think it's an issue with the file input type. ASP.net viewstate will not work for this input type for security reasons.

Hi Ricardo, No sorry, I just accepted it as expected behaviour but I'm pretty sure there are workarounds if you are prepared to modify the module. I haven't used repository module that much (I use Ultra Media Gallery for photos).
