I'm working on a module demonstration and I want to be able to allow access to the module settings to users belonging to an Editor role. The idea is to allow them to work with the module as if they were an administrator, but without giving them admin privileges to anything else in the site.

I have looked at the IActionable.ModuleActions property to see if I can access the ModuleSettings action, but it is not populated with the default actions at the time the property is accessed. So, no go there.

Anyone know a way of doing this?

I don't believe that in DNN Community Edition you can grant access to a module's settings to a non-admin user without also granting edit permissions to the page. The user would then be able to modify some page settings, add child pages, etc. which would not be advisible. I would suggest that unless access is needed to the full settings page for the demo you create you own configuration control specific to the module's custom settings and give it a security access level of Edit or if necessary implement more granular custom permissions for the module.

Look at the Enhanced Permission Provider of Oliver Hine, i think it add "module settings" permissions to the module settings.

Thanks for the suggestions. Oliver Hine's provider does indeed allow you to control who can access Module Settings. However, I had some problems with the site navigation on my first attempt at using it. Will try again when I get a moment.
