I have a custom isearchable implementation for one of my inventory modules that has been working with no issues for the past 2 years on a number of installations of DNN 4.x/

However when I try to implement on a vanilla 5.5 install - my GetSearchItems function never gets called.
My Module Definition setup seems fine and it has picked up that the module is searchable with Is Searchable checked in Extension Settings.

In further testing I have verified that GetSearchItems returns all records as expected when run it in the Speerio Test Harness.

Does anyone have any idea what may be causing this please?

Hi 

This problem is solved by the genius who created it.
Basically I spent 2 days chasing a problem that was not there, while the real issue stared me in the face.

The problem was dates!

My  SearchItemInfo object at some stage started getting the date in a localization screwed up format that suggested the item was created early in the 1st Century! Thus as each SearchItemInfo item was presented to the search engine it correctly refused to update the item because the date was no good.

Since nothing was ever added to the SearchIttems table it seemed that  GetSearchItems function was never being called.
While in fact it was running without any issues. So I spent 2 days trying to get a running function to run!
