Just upgraded to 5.05.01 and when in administrator mode (edit) I can view everthing just fine. When not logged in or in view mode I get A Critical Error Has Occured. Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Any ideas or help would be great, need to get the site back up!

Please check event log of DNN for more detailed error message.

The first error thrown during login using LiveID appears to be unrelated. The second error is the related one and fits the behavior you are seeing which is caused by failure of module output caching which is disabled when a user with edit permissions is logged in. Here's a link to a post that points out that a section of web.config necessary to load the module caching providers was missing:

Be sure to make a backup copy of your web.config file before making any changes to it!!!!
