Hiya,

I've just been told about an odd thing for a new user registration on my site, checked it out myself and I can't see how to fix it.

On the registration page, a new user is asked to put in their first name and last name twice. I've checked 'Manage profile properties' and I can only see one instance of them, undeletable so they must be part of the core data.

Can anyone advise please?

if you require valid profile for registration, the profile is displayed beneath the user data and repeats by default first name and last name. I suggest posting an enhancement request into the DNN issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com. There are a number of 3rd party modules overcoming this issue.

I've raised a ticket on Gemini, hopefully done it correctly. I have no problem with it other than that, so I can wait for a fix. Cheers

The firstname and last name is present in the user and the profil.

I dont no why, but ...

You can make the fistname and lastname profile fields not visible (in the user profil fields difinitions)

And when you change the firstname and lastname of the user, the not visible profile fields are automaticaly updated by dnn.

Its maybe a solution for you ?
