I have two different websites. One is a DNN website and the other is not. I would like to use single sign on so that when a user logs into the non DNN website they can also be logged into the DNN website. Both websites have features that are enabled or disabled based on the user role. What I would like to do is, when a user registers with one website an identical account is created on the other website so that I can make sure that the user roles are the same on both websites. Would it be better to have both websites use the same membership database? Is it even possible to use SSO with DNN and non DNN websites?

Any advise would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Paul

The answer is that Dotnetnuke can't do it, "Out of the Box".  You could write your own authentication provider to support this, or you could look at an extension on Snowcovered.com that could do it.  Here are a few: here
