Hi,

This is my first time on this forum, therefore hello to everybody :)

I want to create an application with DNN to manage simple project-like tasks. Users create their tasks, by specifying title, description, due date, current status, etc. Then they can browse them in reports: tasks for this week, this month etc.

Are there any DNN modules that allow me to define such forms and reports? Thank you in advance for any hints.

Hi Mark, welcome to the DNN community! Regarding your use case: check out Form and List module, which comes with DotNetNuke.

Dear Sebastian,

Indeed, this is what I want. Thank you for that hint.

I just wonder about two things:

1. Is it possible to have some "code-behind" actions triggered when user modifies values specific fields?

2. Is it possible to look-up for values in other modules of type Field and List? I would like to keep user's personal configuration in such a form - unless there is another way to keep it.

Hi Mark, unfortunately, both features are not included, you might need to develop and integrate your own datatypes or use one of the available commercial 3rd party modules

Oh, ok. Thanks.

I know ASP.NET a little bit, so I could create such a form myself. I just wonder whether to "embed" it in DNN as a custom module, or inside the built-in IFrame module. I guess writing a custom module is a more professional way. Do you know any tutorial that would help me quickly get the grip of writing custom modules for DNN 5.5?
