I'm just starting to get into DNN with 5.05.  I notice when I try to create a new Parent portal in Host > Portals it askes me to fill in "Security Settings" which include an Email address.  I assume the email is the email of the person who will be administering the new site and the Security Information is what they will need to do that, (though the password in the Security Settings doesn't get emailed, so I'm  not sure what good the rest of the information will be).  And in addition to sending an email to this email address, DNN sends an email to the address entered in
Host Settings > Detail Settings > Host Email.

Could someone explain a bit what's going on here, and maybe point me to some documentation in this area?

Thanks.
Steve

Hi Steve,

In Dnn when you create a new Portal then it's administrator is created by using these information so that different Portals have different Admin but all these portals have only one Host.

Hope this helps.
