Folks,

It looks like there are two ways to change the appearance of the site.
1. Go to Site Settings->Edit Stylesheet Edit and make changes.
2. FTP, Copy the skin locally, make changes, create zip file, upload skin.

Are these two achieving the same thing or am I missing something?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Regards,
Peter

In most of our typical sites, we have different SkinTypes for different pages and some may have class overrides set in containers that are specific to a particular content and page. Changing on skin/container level is advantageous for granular approach which also allows you to comment and document changes in one place than in multiple locations . However if you dont have such senario's then a global change may do the job in SiteSettings would obviously be easier.
