I am doing something wrong because I know MANY people use Pay Pal Buy Now button, but I am having problems.

I am trying to use a simple PayPal buy now button on one of my DNN pages.   I copied the code from PayPal and all it seems to do is refresh my page.

I put the Pay pal code in the middle of an HTML module on oneof my DNN pages.  The button looks OK, but just does not go to PayPal

I take the exact same code and put it in a plain HTM page and it works perfectly.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong????

Joel - the PayPal code includes a form definition in the Html.  As DNN runs on the ASP.NET Webforms model, the page already has a <form> tag, and that's why it doesn't work.

If you want to use PayPal buy now buttons, you've got basically 3 options:
- run an iframe with the PayPal html page - with a bit of judicious styling you can get this one to look OK.
- buy a module which is designed to let you integrate PayPal into DNN.  There are several available I believe, from full e-commerce apps to simple buy-now modules.
- build your own module to your custom specs which will allow you to tailor the buttons to your needs.

Of all the items above the iFrame is easiest but clunkiest and buying a module is the quickest and easiest way.

Here's another option from John Mitchell's blog which I have used successfully for a single "Buy Now" button on a DotNetNuke page:
