Hi,

When I installed DNN on my local development machine a few days ago (never used DNN before), I had some weird issues. Browsing the pages went fine, but actions like logging in, logging out, editing pages, saving changed settings etc. took a really, really long time and often caused timeouts.

After spending several hours trying to fix this issue, I came across this blog post http://www.40fingers.net/WeblogsNews/... and it just so happens that I am running AVG 9 also!

So for everyone using AVG 9 anti-virus, just disable the "Active Surf Shield" under LinkScanner, and your problem is gone!

Gotta love software that tries to protect you, when it really just makes life slower!
