For some reason all my google analytics codes have quotes in them and google is not reading. am using the built in google analytics module.

code should look like this -        _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-194XXXXX-1']);
but shows up as -                       _gaq.push(['_setAccount', '"UA-194XXXXX-1"']);

Any help would be much appreciated. Should I just put a text/html module on bottom that shows on all pages with the code in it instead of using the built in system?

Have you tried to use " instead of ' in your code?
Another one way instead of HTML is just place GA code at the bottom of your skin

..and another easy option is using free Advanced Google Analytics module from www.oliverhine.com :))

There were some changes in the SiteAnalytics.config file that could be causing this. We had a similar issue on this site after moving to 5.6. There are two things to try:
Go to your Admin -> Google Analytics page and verify things look correct, then click save. See if this fixes the problem.
If that didn't work, compare the config file on your site to the one in a clean 5.6 core download to make sure they are the same, if not update the one on your site.

Hello Sebastian,

basically Oliver Hine has also the problem, but he worked around this in his SiteAnalytics.config, so the double quotes arround the [TRACKING_ID] are no problem for his module.

Nevertheless there seems to be a change in 5.6.0 which cases the [TRACKING_ID] to be within double quotes.
