I just ran into this same problem, after installing the module my code was still wrong, but I've found a process that seems to work.

1. Install the module
2. Go to the Google analytics configuration page, put your code in and save it. (it will still be wrong at this point)
3. Go to host settings and clear your cache and restart the application
4. Go back to the Google analytics page, and you should see this message

"The current ~/SiteAnalytics.config file doesn't match the configured settings for this portal. Clicking 'Update' will solve this problem."

5. Click "Update"
6. Problem solved. (don't know why, don't really care at least Google analytics works again...)

I had to enter my code directly in the SiteAnalytics.config file. Host> Configuration Manager> SiteAnalytics.config. Then I replaced '[TRACKING_ID]' with 'UA-MyCode-1', then saved it. It works now.
It seems that the Tracking ID: from the Google Analytics module is carying the double quotes to the config file. I tried changing brackets and quotes and nothing worked right until I just plugged it in directly.

I had to add my tracking ID directly to the SiteAnalytics.config file by going to Host> Configuration Manager> SiteAnalytics.config.  Then I manually replaced '[TRACKING_ID]' with 'UA-MyCode-1' and now it works.

It seems that the Tracking ID: field from the Google Analytics module carries the double quote to the config file.
