I am looking at the default HTML Module in the start page that is installed with DNN 5.5 and I'm trying to understand how it works.

In  the top area, the 2 big boxes (New to DotNetNuke? and Take DoNetNuke to the next level) have hyperlinks that work in View mode.  In edit mode I can't find how to configure these ?  How do you edit the hyperlinks for these.

Also, on the default start page, at the bottom in the HTML module there are 4 squares (Community, Marketplace, Conference, Training).  Again in edit mode, if I right click on the text in any of those boxes I get the "hyperlink manager".  However, the URL in the hyperlink manager is blank?  So how was the link set up?

Was this page designed using another editor and then imported into this module?  Is this the recommended way to create HTML content.

Thanks
Dave

the content of the welcome page is created using a professional HTML editor and just pasted into source code. it is using a lot of CSS and images.

So how would you use the import function of the HTML module to import the HTML page, or could you cut and paste everything in edit mode, or would you have to design the default.asp page in Visual Studio?

it is just copy and paste into the source text view.
