strange, since files stored in unsecured folders can be retrieved without respect to DNN permissions. I tested with a wmv file, unfortunately my test machine is running Vista N (without media player)

Thanks for trying it out on your end Sebastian.

I think I will post this as its own Subject to see if anyone else can verify that media will stream when folder restrictions are implemented.

If the folder permissions in the File Manager are not set to allow the file to be viewed, and it's a secure folder then this is not actually an issue with the module.  This is an intentional artifact of the security system in DNN.  Simply adding permissions to that folder for anonymous visitors or moving the file to a non-secure location should fix things.
