Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of a module that can check if the user has a particular plugin installed e.g. Flash?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,
Steven

Bruce,
I am not aware of one, although with over 9000 extensions on Snowcovered, I may have missed it.  The basic functionality would not be hard to build.  There are plenty of scripts available for detecting if Flash is available, it would then just be a matter of making an AJAX call from the client back to the server to provide that information.

The bigger question is what do you want to do if the user doesn't have flash installed? and what would you do if the user did have flash installed?
