I notice that the Text/HTML module in DNN 5.5  that there's a Format Code Block option which includes the ability to paste code into the window.  But there's also an Import function in the module's  drop down list and  I was wondering what the difference is between these.

I ask because I bought a skin with a slide show function in the banner pane and i noticed that this entire functionality was implemented by simply adding a Text/HTML module into the banner pane and then importing an .xml file into it.  Could the slide show also have been implemented with the Format Code Block option?

Thanks for any info.

The "Import" option is simply to bring in content that existed in a different instance of the Text/HTML module.  IE content that was exported from a different module.

But in the case I mentioned, the skin vendor shipped a .xml file with the package and said to "import" it into the Text/HTML module, and PRESTO! I had a working slide show. They said I couldn't paste the xml into the module. So can we assume that the vendor wrote the code using something like Format Code Block, exported it to a .xml file and shipped it?

Thanks Steve
