Dear all

I get a problem while coding a module for DNN

That is

i set index  for dropdownlist but it not working.

DropCategory.SelectedIndex = 5

But when 1 view on page, it set 0 (i think page load 2 times & it set value default)

control DropCategory is using objectdatasource to binding

i need help

thanks alot.

My guess is that you are re-binding items to the drop-down list during each post-back which will cause the Selec tedIndex to be reset (usually to -1 rather than 0 as you indicated, however).

In your code for handling the Page_Load event, wrap your code for binding items to the drop-down list in a Not Page.IsPostback condition:

If Not Page.IsPostback Then
        'Bind items to drop-down list here
        'Load controls with current values from database, etc. here
End If
