adding triggers to the dnn core tables is considered a core modification, which might cause issues when you want to upgrade your site at a later date. Please be aware of that.

Not sure if that solutions works on newer dnn versions, it might. You would have to try that yourself on a test install...

I have a number of sites that share users.  I used OpenWebStudio to do this without too much difficulty, and without triggers.

I use 2 methods for this at the moment - adding users to the other portals (and portal roles) on creation of the user, or if they've been created using the DNN Core module I have a scheduled OWS configuration running that checks users and adds them to other portals if they aren't already there.

Haven't had any problems with this at all... and now running half a dozen different portals with users able to access and view each without difficulty.

this is interesting: are you syncing user profiles too?

Would you share your code? I don't use OWS, but am interested in your approach!
