Hi all,

does anyone know a way to use a DnnFileEditControl so that it doesn't try to show a thumbnail?
I want to use it so that a user can select or upload a stylesheet (xslt).  However, as soon as that type of file is selected, I get an exception "Width must be non negative." it's coming from the ShowImage().CreateThumbnail() method.

Or I guess more to the point, is there a way that I can use this control to select (or upload) the xslt and not throw the exception when trying to create the thumbnail?  Or is there a better way??

Thanks!

you can use webupload control to store the file on the server.

You mean the asp FileUpload control?  In some cases, it would be a reasonable alternative.  However for my needs it really defeats the purpose.

I want to use the control (or any control) to select a file for configuration purposes.  The file may or may not exist (and could be uploaded).
If the DnnFileEditControl didn't insist on trying to create a thumbnail or if it understood how to create a thumbnail for something other than a graphic file (gif, jpg, etc) if would be ideal for my needs.

With the exception of the thumbnail issue, I think it's a great control.  IMHO, it's a bug (I opened a Gemini issue).  If I could compile the source version, I would fix it and submit the fix, but it seems that that 5.6.0 source version that is available for download doesn't compile (another issue in Gemini)
