I've been learning DNN for about 2 weeks for the Intranet site. I'm using:
- DNN 5.6.0
- ActiveDirectory_05.00.02
- IIS6

I installed ActiveDirectory_05.00.02 and it's working fine. However, I've noticed that if a user from the Active Directory has not logged in the site, DNN will not create the user account for that user. Is there a script or a way I can execute to pull all users from Active Directory? I do not want DNN to create a user account when the user logs on for the first time.

Thanks,
Brew

Have you selected the option in the settings to "Not Automatically Create Users"? That would explain why users aren't created the first time a user logs in (which is what you want). As for a script to pull all users from the AD in.... no there isn't.

sorry for my unclear explanation. What I actually want is when the ActiveDirectoryAuthentication extension is enabled, can it retrieve all AD users and create them in DNN automatically? The reason why I want this way is because I have a couple of custom roles in DNN and want to assign these roles to AD users. That means if a user never logs on to the site, I will not able to do so at all because DNN normally create a user account from AD when the user logs on. (am I understanding correctly?)

Any suggestion?

Thanks
Somchai

You're understanding correctly. The only way to do what you want would be to write a script that parses the AD and creates the users in DNN. That's something I've never looked at mainly because I don't have the need (we've got over 20000 AD users and only a fraction <2000 would ever use our department's website).

Do you have any idea of what tables/stored proc/etc I should look into if I gotta write a script to parse AD and create users in DNN?
