Hi,

I just installed the 2.01.45 RC BETA.  I have two immediate questions:

1. Where would I find an email templating guide?  I saw a reference to it in one of the threads, but I couldn't find the location.
2. With this upgrade, no images are displaying in the mini cart or catalog.  Any ideas?

Thanks for everything,

Andy

The image problem I was able to track down. By design, if you have Portal Template checked on, you have local versions of templates and images in the Portal Root/Store/Template folder. You need to update these after doing an upgrade (presumably, being careful not to overwrite any customization you have done).

Hi Andy,

May be you don't have the last version of the templating guide! Normaly, I upload the last guide with each version, but this time I simply forgot. The last up to date version is available in the version 02.01.44 RC at Codeplex. The chapter 8 and appendix D contains all you need to create your own email templates.

It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Hi Andy,

This is explained in the Chapter 2 of the Templating Guide. It's the normal behavior to preserve personalized templates, only the base templates in the folder ...\DesktopModules\Store\Templates are updated.

Thank you Gilles,

I have a follow-up question on the templating guide. It seems to be that these templates are not customizable by portal. Is that right? Any changes to the email templates for orders will be used wherever a site uses the same gateway provider? Is that right?

Thanks again and thanks for spending your time on this module.

Andy
