Ok..I think I found something that make the link you pointed to me ealier make sence..  I found this http://forums.asp.net/p/1521647/36691... which pointed me to this http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlexpress/ar... which helps me understand why I can't see it.  I don't compeletly understand it but I'm on the right track I think.

I have a couple of follow up questions though..  Since I have my DNN site working should I go ahead an follow the instruction you pointed to me first, would that cause any problems with the site?  And secondly in the instructions laid out on the original link, the part about "Set up Permissions" I don't seem to have an ASPNET user anywhere.  Am I over looking this or missing something?

Thanks again..

Bob

for performance and security reasons, there is no need to use an attached database, but be aware, you will not be able to open it simultaneously with any other tool, like SSMS. ASPNET user was used in IIS 5, IIS 6 uses "Network Service", while in IIS 7 (SQL Server 2008) you may specify the account in settings of your IIS Application pool ("identity")

I had a similar problem of not being able to se the DNN database in Managamenet Studio. I followed the steps in the link you posted (http://blogs.msdn.com/b/sqlexpress/ar...) with great succes. It is very straight forward and didn't require any changes.
Thank you for the link!
