That is indeed very weird!

Could you confirm the following and post the results here:

1. File and Product version of the DotNetNuke.dll assembly in the site's /bin folder.
2. File and Product version of the DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider.dll assembly in the site's /bin folder.
3. Version number found in last row of the database's Versions table.
4. Highest version number of the .SqlDataProvider scripts found in the site's /Providers/DataProviders/SqlDataProvider folder (i.e. xx.xx.xx.SqlDataProvider).

Sebastian, this site is 1 of 3 sites that we restored.  They all seem to have the same settings & permissions.  2 of the sites restored without issue.  It is just this 1 with which we are having a problem.  To the best of my ability, all permissions have been checked and double checked and appear to be in order.

William,

Thanks for the reply and great questions.  Here are the answers I found, which say a lot as to what is going on...

  1. DotNetNuke.dll - File & Product Version: 5.1.0.773
  2. DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider.dll - File & Product Version: 5.1.0.0
  3. Version Table version number: Major: 4, Minor: 9, Build: 4
  4. Version number of the .SqlDataProvider: 05.01.00.SqlDataProvider

From the above information it appears that we were handed a website version that does not match the database backup version?

it looks like the upgrade did not perform and is not triggered due to autoupgrade = false. please backup the database and browse /install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade
