Unfortunately we have had to abandon using CL in 5.5.1 for our Belgian, Swiss and Spanish sites for WeightWatchers.
Apart from the well documented instability we felt it was just too hard to use and to train our editors.

Luckily for us, since the sites all require a login, we have used security roles to control the content and and we developed a simple module for some users to switch content based on public roles.

Once the Belgian site is launched (in a week or so) I will fully document our solution and make the 'Roles Opt-in' module feely available.
