Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to control the order of the records. I.e. lets say I create a publications page and I have uploaded so far 10 records. I have a new record now to upload but I do not want it to be displayed at the top of the list but on the 6th position, is this possible? This is similar with the functionality of the order of the fields where you have the arrows on the right and you can move the fields up and down.

Also I would like to know if it is possible to have icons for the links section and when a user clicks on the icon to take you to the corresponding file. i.e. http://pavlaw.com.3essentials.com/PUBLICATIONS.aspx - I created this page manually (no module used). On the download column, you see a PDF icon, which when clicked takes you to the corresponding PDF file and a book icon which when clicked takes you to the specific website. Is this possible with the Form and List module?

in configuration of the module, you may specify a sort column, this may be a hidden integer "position" you are entering when adding a record. Is this what you are looking for? In caption for a download or link column, you may specify HTML, which may include a static image or an image from another column in your record.

Hi Sebastian,

Thank you for your prompt response. I have done some changes - http://pavlaw.com.3essentials.com/Publications_test.aspx - and I seem to be on the right path. I have the following questions:
1. How do I hide the Position Column? I have disabled the option "Display on List" for this column but it is still displayed.
2. Regarding the image, I have included the html code for the image in the Link Caption field of the download column and the image is displayed for the records.Is it possible to allow the user to choose which image to use depending on the link he inputs? i.e. a link may be to a PDF file (so use the PDF icon) or it may be a link to an external site (so use another icon). Thus is it possible to have a dropdown option for the user to choose which image?
3. How can I manage the width of the columns?

1. hidden columns are displayed to admins (see permission grid in module settings) 2. you may use a different column with a list of file types (separated by ";") and use the value in a token like [COLUMN:ICON] to insert proper image. it is a bit trick, I know 3. width is managed automatically in default view, create a custom XSL view - which is easily done y by using the built in XSL generator, give it a try. I suggest reading the module manual, it has a number of samples and hints ;)

Thanks Sebastian, I have been playing around with the module and it is fantastic - http://pavlaw.com.3essentials.com/PUBLICATIONS_test.aspx Some questions I have are the following: 1. How do I configure to display the titles of the columns? I have tried but it seems my headers keep appearing for each record. 2. I notice that there is a Predefined XLS File called AdvancedTable template that allows you to view more details for each record. Does this means that I can set specific fields to be displayed when a user clicks the more info link? i.e. http://www.salans.com/en-GB/People.aspx?letter=C if you access this page you will see a list of people. If you click on the name of a record it takes you to the page where more info is displayed for the employee. Can we implement this with the module using the Predefined XLS File AdvancedTable?
