Registered Users, Administrators and Subscribers are default roles from Portal template.

  • Registered Users is default role for site members. All authorised users get membership automatically until the account is deactivated
  • Administrators is default role for site administrators, one role member may be selected as default admin for sending site messages. Administrators are automatically assigned all  publish, folder, page and module permissions (even though it doesn't make sense every time)
  • Subscribers is a demo for a newsletter role
There are two virtual roles:
  • All Users are registered users and visitors (unauthenticated)
  • Unauthenticated Users are any visitors not logged in
Roles may have attributes
  • Auto Roles get assigned automatically on signup (like Registered users)
  • Public Roles allow users to subscribe (become member) and unsubscribe themselves in their profile
  • RSVP Code may be handed out to selected users to subscribe for a non public service by themselves
  • Payment  options should be obvious

Cheers from Germany,
