Following the steps that Bill provided solved my issue however I had to make one change. I was never able to get the site to come up when I used the 4.09.05 web.config file. The upgrade would run without any errors but the site would not load when I tried to view. By using the default web.config from the 5.06.00 folder and changing the usual connection info and MachineKey settings it loaded just fine. I then applied the URL Master web.config changes by using the module inside DNN and all appears to be working fine other than a few modules that I need to upgrade.

Thanks again Bill for your insight.

Have a great day!
Larry

The information and cause of the problem in this post is directly related to having IFinity URL Master installed and NOT having it upgraded to the latest version.

Do you have IFinity URL master installed? If so are you on the latest version?

Have a great day!
