I'm managing a site for which I have no FTP access.  Just the DNN Host account.  (Don't ask - it's a long story).

I'm looking for a way to backup the site from within DNN.  When I heard about the Template Copy mechanism I though this could be what I'm looking for (I know its not a complete backup but close enough maybe).

The problem is that after doing the Template Export, I can see the .template file in the file manager and can download it from there, but I can't see the template.resources file.  I've added "resources" to the allowed file types in the Host Settings, but still can't see the .resources file in File manager.

Is it possible?

there is a module called "Evoviva Backup" which might be a solution for you (see on snowcovered.com)

Yes thanks, I already knew about Evotiva.

My question is really about the .template.resources file.

Is it possible to see it in the File Manager?

no , .resources files are excluded for technical (secure file system) and security reasons.
