I've designed a skin in HTML, and I'm in need of a little direction to create the needed skin.xml file.

Are you talking about the XML file to define the tokens, or are you asking about converting the skin from HTML --> ASCX?

If it's the former (first), I usually hand-create my XMLs (based off a basic one I have saved in my notes files)... You can see the details of how it's constructed in the DNN Skinning Guide here (Page 14, if I recall correctly).

For the later (second), you package all your files in a ZIP (structure and details outlined in the documentation above) and then upload it via Host > Extensions (may want to check on that, it's been a long time since I build a skin that way).

Thank you Wells,
I'm looking on Page 19 of the Skinning manual. Is that what you are referring to?

If so, I'm going to need some clarification on how to configure the code for my use. There are , , , and tags that I'm unsure about how to use. The manual simply shows the screenshot, but neglects to go into detail about it's components.

This is all to come up with my skin package, of course, so I'd also like to know if there are instructions to create the .DNN file.

You should note use the xml method in DNN 5 anymore IMO, but use the new object tags described here:

The link Timo provided will probably be of more help. It's actually a great guide on how to properly build a skin and goes over objects and their parameters as well.
