Hi,

I recently thought that I should check that my site's HTML validated properly using the W3C Validator at http://validator.w3.org/ (and after mending some skin problems!) I was disapointed to find that in particular the DNN registration page did not validate. There were several errors including missing image alt attributes, height attributes used wrongly, etc

These errors are also on this site registration page at http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Home/UserRegistration/tabid/2018/Default.aspx

Is anyone aware of this and is there anything that can be done? Since my site is no longer compliant I presume I shall need to remove the tags.....

Thanks

Rob

I've created an issue for this in DNN's issue tracker.  They're usually pretty good about getting these things fixed once they're pointed out.

Thanks Brian, hoipefully that will be in the next release....

While I'm on the subject of the registration page, I'm getting strange alignment on my password and security code boxes with from Artisteer skins.
Looking at the generated HTML theres a lot of nested DIVs and TDs and I cant quite work out what's going on, but comparing fields that behave correctly (ie Email address) and the password fields whcih are on a different panel, there seems to be a float:left missing.

I'd be really grateful if someone could take a look at my page and suggest something.... either that I can do from an skin/css perspective, or whether the problem is due to a strange combination of the skin and a fault with the DNN code for that page ?

The URL is

http://www.westburyquarry.co.uk/register.aspx

Many thanks

Rob

The style .art-blockcontent-body table {width:100%} from line 1551 of your skin.css is causing the password table to be wider than the other tables.  Unfortunately, there aren't any great options for overriding that style for the password table, aside from using an ID that could be subject to change upon updates...  Is it possible to make the width:100% style less generic?

I have added that issue to the 5.6.2 roadmap since it is too late to squeeze it in for 5.6.1.
