Having problems with dnn5 not updating the copyright in site settings. The correct box has also been ticked in Host settings. Site update to 5.6 and restarted. No changes. (Yes the information has been changed in site settings)

Skin is using:-

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="COPYRIGHT" Src="~/Admin/Skins/Copyright.ascx" %>

<dnn:COPYRIGHT runat="server" id="dnnCOPYRIGHT" />

Not using

<dnn:DOTNETNUKE runat="server" id="dnnDOTNETNUKE" />

As staed this has not been an issue up until now. Have looked for help elsewhwere with this issue but not found an answer.

This may be a core dnn function but cannot work out why this is now not working...

Help please.

did you clear the cache and restarted the application in Host Settings, as well as local browser cache?

Hi Pat,

We had a similar issue and found it was due to the new feature of localized of portal settings. We had two languages setup and updated the copyright message, and for the life of us could not figure out why it was not being updated on the live site despite trying the same things that you did.

Turns out that updating the copyright message in the Portal Settings updated a different locale to the main website - I don't know if this is a bug or anomaly. The way we fixed this was to ensure that the FooterText value in the PortalLocalization table were the same across all locales and this solved our problem.

Hope this solves yours too!

Cheers,
Ardi
