Hi everybody.

I started doing DNN Modules in Vs2010 - C# whith dnnstarted kit.

I've create an module to do some info shows but, i need to do a setting with "DataBaseName" that depends in witch portal i am.

for example

in portal A, the module uses Database db_A.
in portal B, the module uses Database db_B.

etc, thanks for your help ...

you may store the setting per module instance in ModuleSettings or in HostSettings table without the need of a custom data layer. For ModuleSettings, there are a number of samples amongst the core modules, starting with HTML module.

Create a small table with columns portalid, databasename and use that based on the portal you are in.  Other option is a .config file.

sorry, I missed to stress that there is portalsettings as well now to store portal specific values of your module.
